Crash Course In Science – Jump Over Barrels

Some classic tracks almost don’t see the light of day. This track was recorded in 1981 but wasn’t released until 2009. To modern ears, sounding like a crazy Donkey Kong arcade bass over a raw jacking house beat, Video Crash mixed with industrial rock. But who was Carol?

Crash Course In Science was formed in the late ’70s and were early adopters of DIY post-punk synthesis. A lot of their tracks possess a strange surreal sense of humour, as can be heard in this track, another of their early tracks is a tribute to electric motors in the kitchen.

You can find this track on the album Near Marineland and on a twelve-inch with remix versions released by Dark Entries in 2016
