More masterfully deep electro musicality marks Carl Finlow‘s third release on the mighty Craigie Knowes. The same spacey timelessness that was to be found on previous releases can be found here. Expect some hi-tech soul of the highest order.
On a planet destroyed by an environmental apocalypse, mysterious figures scour the landscape searching for the souls of the last remaining survivors.
Dark dystopian electro with a sci-fi comic storyline. Masters of the genre, The Exaltics, team up with Mack Goudy Jr. a.k.a. Paris The Black FU from the mighty Detroit Grand Puhbas and Techmarine Bottom Feeders.
Isle of Jura – Release: March 13th 2020
Ahh, the isle of Jura. Famous for it’s raw unspoilt beauty, friendly locals, whiskey and… Soundsystem? They also put out new music too it would appear…
Super fast and super funky electro of the type we just can’t get enough of.
Posted because of the first track “Patterning”, an interesting hybrid of 160 breaks, Sheffield bleeps and an electro bassline straight out of the Aux 88 playbook.
Title track “Black Hole” is the one for us. A steady paced slow-building sci-fi electro transmission with a spiraling synth line like you’re on the edge of a black hole.
Dallas based producer Cygnus debut release on Glasgow’s label of the moment, Craigie Knowes. He programs his beats funky and the chords deep. Five tracks of timeless electronic soul music. An accomplished piece of musicianship. What more is there to be said?
